What it does.

In glulam plants, material moves many times: lamellas are buffered, finger-jointed, planed, glued, pressed and moved on. Continuous mechanisation connects these steps, reduces manual handling and creates a flow in which the press sets the pace.

For a well-known Belgian builder of glulam halls, Vecotrade supplied a shredder with conveyors up- and downstream, plus a conveying and storage system for glulam beams up to 36 m long.

01Do you also plan partial mechanisation?

Yes. An existing line is often mechanised step by step – for example the press loading or the lamella buffer first. We plan so that the steps fit together later.

02Do you have experience in the glulam industry?

Yes – our project history includes several projects for manufacturers of glulam beams and solid-wood walls. You will find examples further down under 'From our projects'.

03Who supplies the mechanisation?

We typically integrate technology from our partner M-TEC; the press and special machines can come from other suppliers. Vecotrade coordinates the interfaces.
