01Performance

What it does.

Material flow is what happens between the machines – and often the reason a plant falls short of its capacity. We look at the material's route through the entire mill: for new plants as well as for extending or modernising existing ones. The goal is a continuous flow without bottlenecks, detours or unnecessary rehandling.
01

Finding bottlenecks

We analyse where material waits, jams or is moved twice.

02

Planning the layout

Machines, routes and buffers in a layout that also allows future expansion.

03

Surveying what exists

Using 3D laser scanning we capture halls, steelwork and conveyors as the basis for planning.

04

Using residues

Offcuts, slabs, shavings and dust are collected, shredded and put to use.

05

Modernising during operation

Planning conversions so that production is interrupted as little as possible.

02Context

Where in the process.

This service does not belong to a single step – it accompanies the entire process chain, in recycling and wood plants alike.

Typical machine types

  1. 01

    Conveying & distribution systems

Connect machines and hall areas into one flow.

  2. 02

    Buffers & intermediate storage

Decouple process steps running at different rates.

  3. 03

    Residue collection

Conveyors, chippers and extraction for wood residues and shavings.

  4. 04

    Controls & linking

Link machines into one plant – including a safety review of the whole (CE).

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

01Where does material flow planning start?

With a survey: which quantities, which routes, which bottlenecks. On request we measure the hall by 3D laser scan – so the plan matches the real installation situation.

02Do you plan across manufacturers?

Yes. We integrate our partners' machines as well as existing machines and other suppliers, for example for belt dryers, drying chambers or pellet mills.

03What does linking machines mean for CE marking?

When machines are linked into a plant, a safety assessment of the whole may be required. Our CE consulting checks this from the start.
